On the road to China and Japan

In July we partecipated to various events in China and Japan. We are happy to share it with all of you.

On the 20th of July Shanghai SinoDrink, our importer and business partner in China, celebrated its 10 Anniversary in Beijing.

A grand tasting was organized with the winery owner of nearly 20 Italian wineries from each region. Italy Ambassador, Chief Commissioner of ICE Beijing, CEO of Genagricola and Chief –Secretary of Italian Wine Culture Association, together with the 20 wineries’ owners attended the celebration.

 

 

 

 

In the main time we were also partecipating to the Italian Festival ‘Italia, amore mio’  in  Nagoya, Japan with our importer and business partners Nippon Liquor.

The Five Roses 73° Anniversary is winning once again the ‘4 viti’ Ais – Vitae, while the Five Roses classic version 2016 vintage is ‘Vino Quotidiano’ for Slow Food.
We also have got International awards in the Mundus Vini competition with a Silver Medal to Per lui Salice Salentino Rosso Riserva DOC 2014 and to the new Villa Santera Primitivo Igt Salento 2016.

We hope to improve our success and to reach new goals and staying an historical winery in a gradual evolution.

FIVE ROSES DAY IN JAPAN

The Japanese Day of FIVE ROSES, just concluded, rising the list of towns, in the world, which – in occasion of the 70′ anniversary from first bottling – saw us protagonists of events in many towns in the world, like NY, HK, Shanghai, Berlin, Dublin, London, Bruxelles … just to mention some of them, for the celebration of this enchanting rosè.
They are celebration events, but also a way to take the tradition ahead, since 1943, when this bright rosè was bottled the first time, thanks to the intuition of a farsighted family, that back when no one would have imagined, had seen the great potential of NEGROAMARO, setting its future success and making it famous, all over the world.
Adriano Sicuro from Export Office says: ”The attitude of Japanese consumers in respect to rosè wine, is constantly evolving: curiosity, knowledge, status symbol and life style take them to approach all New around. Sharing the FIVE ROSES in its declinations, with all those passionate people has been an extremely interesting experience”

Villa Santera Primitivo Rosso Igt

The smooth and pleasant Villa Santera Primitivo Rosso Igt is the expression of richness and complexity of Primitivo del Salento.

The grapes are harvested on the second ten days of September after a short period of over ripening . This process  gives to the wine a clear note of smoothness. The intense red colour is typical of Primitivo. At the nose plum, ribes and blueberry go with the elegant spices as vanilla, licorice and cloves. In the mouth is wide, smooth and persistent.

fruits and a spiced aroma of vanilla. In the mouth it is wide, smooth and
persistent. Very good with grilled meat and ripe cheeses.

ALCOHOL: 14,5%
SOIL: clayey – muddy
TRAINING SYSTEM: Apulian head training with 7000 vinestocks per ha
VINEYARD AVERAGE AGE: 15 years
HARVEST: second decade of September after a short period of over
maturation
YIELD PER HA: 7 tonnes
MATURATION: at least 3 months in barrel
BOTTLE AGEING: at least 3 months
BOTTLE SIZE: 750 ml.
SERVING TEMPERATURE: 16-18°C.
